Mamma don't take my Kodachrome away

The last lab in the world is no longer processing Kodachrome.

Demanding both to shoot and process, Kodachrome rewarded generations of skilled users with a richness of color and a unique treatment of light that many photographers described as incomparable even as they shifted to digital cameras. “Makes you think all the world’s a sunny day,” Paul Simon sang in his 1973 hit “Kodachrome,” which carried the plea “Mama, don’t take my Kodachrome away.”

Photo Events this weekend in Los Angeles

I forgot to mention that this weekend is Photo LA, up in Santa Monica, at the convention center. The exhibition hall has booths with a wide range of most of the interesting photo galleries in the US, as well as many international ones. Across the street at the DoubleTree hotel will be a series of speakers - well known photographers lecturing about their work. Here's the website for more info:
